CRAZINESS!!

 

So tomorrow our team will be embarking on a new adventure: we are heading to Somerset East for a program called Beat The Drum. We will be hosted by families in the local towns (we will be living in their homes for a week!!) and will be working in local schools and prisons.

 

So what is BEAT THE DRUM? It is a program that focuses on providing information about HIV/AIDs prevntion and awareness. There are many myths surrounding the disease and our aim is to communicate truth in the lives of those affected by the disease and their families as well as those that have not contracted it. I am SO pumped for this experience, but I NEED YOUR HELP!!! Please, please, please fervently pray for this cause. Our team needs all the strengthening and encouragement that you can muster. Please pray that we remain healthy while there (many of us have come down with colds) and that our team remains united. Pray that God would be our focus, that through our actions his light would shine over the lives of the people we are ministering to. Pray for endurance for our leaders and those organizing the program. Pray for the hearts of the people of Somerset East would be opened and receptive to what we are communicating. Pray for the language barrier, and pray that God would show up! Without his presence, our work in Somerset is worthless.
